  • 1999 - The result of so much creative effort has been rewarded with important awards, including the FURIA MUSICAL award for songwriter of the year to Mario Quintero in front of ten thousand people at the National Auditorium in Mexico City, Furia Musical Award as group revelation of the year.
  • 2 GLOBO Awards in New York as best group of the year and as best album of the year entitled ''AMOR PLATONICO''.
  • 1999 - June. At the City of Miami they received 4 BMI awards for their songs: "El Tucanazo", "Es Verdad", "Hacemos Bonita Pareja" and "Secuestro de Amor".
  • 2000 - June. MARIO QUINTERO was honored by BMI as a composer of the year along with KIKE SANTANDER, SHAKIRA, ROBY ROSA and MARCO ANTONIO PEREZ, for three of his songs "AMOR PLATONICO", "HOTEL CORAZON" and "DESDE QUE TE AMO".
  • 2000 - September. Los Tucanes de Tijuana were nominated for their album "Al Por Mayor" during the Latino GRAMMYS and were invited to play at the private party in front of all the nominees, guests and award-winning artists.
  • 2000 - December. They were awarded the QUE-BUENA award in Los Angeles, California. as the Best Norteño group of the year.
  • 2001 - June. In Los Angeles, CA., MARIO QUINTERO receives 3 BMI prizes for the songs "LAS HELADAS", "ME HACES MUCHA FALTA" and "DE TIN MARIN".
  • 2001 - September. They are nominated again for the Latin GRAMMYS for their album "Me Gusta Vivir De Noche". Event suspended by the terrorist attacks in New York of September 11, 2001.
  • 2001 - December. They are awarded with 2 QUE-BUENA awards at the Amphitheatre in Universal Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Corridos best album and best music video, they also played live on that award. The albums nominated were: "CORRIDOS DE PRIMERA PLANA" and best video was "ME GUSTA VIVIR DE NOCHE".
  • 2002 - February. They are nominated by 4th time to LO NUESTRO awards as best norteño group and as best song, "EL AMOR SOÑADO".
  • 2002 - April 22nd. For the first time they are nominated for ALMA AWARDS and are invited to musically participate, representing Mexican music in front of the whole Hispanic and American world, the television program that was televised on June 1, 2002 through the American network ABC. The awards were at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA., the nominated album was: ME GUSTA VIVIR DE NOCHE.
  • 2002 - October 25th. Once again they are nominated for the RITMO LATINO AWARDS and are invited to sing as a duet with Puerto Rican salsa singer Jerry Rivera at the KODAK CENTER in Los Angeles, CA. the nominated album was: LAS ROMANTICAS DE LOS TUCANES.
  • 2002 - November. They are nominated in 4 categories for the awards RACE, in Los Angeles CA.
  • "2002 - December. They are nominated in two categories for QUE-BUENA Awards in Los Angeles, CA. 
  • 2002 - December. They are nominated in two categories for the OYE awards at the National Auditorium in Mexico City and were winners in the category for best grupero group or duo of the year."
  • 2002 - December. They are nominated for the 5th. time for LOS NUESTRO awards that were held on February 5, 2003 in Miami.
  • 2003 - January 6. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated for the first time to the American GRAMMY'S at Madison Square Garden in New York, nominated best Mexican-American album JUGO A LA VIDA.
  • 2003 - June. Mario Quintero is awarded with 2 BMI awards for his two songs, "La Gran Noche" and "Promesas".
  • 2003 - September. Nominated for the third time for the Latin GRAMMY's with their album "JUGO A LA VIDA".
  • 2003 - October. They were invited to the tenth FURIA MUSICAL awards, receiving a special recognition.
  • 2003 - December. Nominated to OYE awards with their album Imperio.
  • 2003 - December. Nominated for the QUE BUENA awards in Los Angeles, CA., managing to win with their album IMPERIO, as best corridos album.
  • 2004 - February. Nominated for the American GRAMMY'S with their corridos album called: IMPERIO
  • 2004 - February. Nominated in two categories at the LO NUESTRO awards in Miami.
  • 2004 - March. San Juan Puerto Rico, Mario Quintero wins again two BMI awards for the songs: "Jugo a la Vida" and "La Chica Sexy".
  • 2004 - September. Mario Quintero is nominated at the 5th Latino GRAMMY'S in the category: Best Song of the Year, with the song IMPERIO.
  • 2005 - April. Mario Quintero receives two BMI awards in Las Vegas Nevada for the songs EL SINVERGUENZA and AMOR DESCARADO.
  • 2007 - August. The song "Los Ilegales" was nominated at the Baja California Film Festivalin the Best Musical Documentary category.
  • 2007- November. The song "Los Ilegalesl" was selected and nominated at the International Film Festival in Monte Carlo, Monaco. They also were awarded with the "Angel Film Awards" and a received a special recognition and they also musically participated in the award ceremony for the "Angel Film Awards".
  • 2008 - July 7. Mexico Tourism Promotion Board makes a very special invitation to Los Tucanes de Tijuana, to be an essential part in promoting tourism in Mexico, which will be produced and developed by the company IFS-Industry Films Studios in Mexico City in 2009. It is a great honor for Los Tucanes and especially for composer Mario Quintero Lara, having been chosen to write & create this song so important, "MEXICO ES TU CASA", especially for Secretary of Tourism, as an important and significant issue for the Mexican people.
  • 2008 September 11. Las Vegas Nevada, the star of Los Tucanes de Tijuana at the walk of fame in Las Vegas Blvd. / MGM Casino avenue.
  • 2008 - September 11. Las Vegas. Democratic Assemblyman and District 11 Deputy Mr. Ruben J. Kihuen gave an edict decreeing the official Day of Los Tucanes de Tijuana, thus being established on September 11, as the official day of Los Tucanes de Tijuana and they were presented with the PROCLAMATION, a Recognition Certificate and Tribute, and the "Certificado de Elogio" from Las Vegas city.
  • 2008 September 16th. Los Angeles, CA. The city of Los Angeles dedicated the PROCLAMATION to the and they are invited to musically participate in the Proclamation of Independence. (Event to celebrate Mexican Independence).
  • 2009. Awards Winners of the PREMUSA awards in the city of Huston.
  • 2009 September 17. Mario Quintero Lara is nominated for the Latin Grammy, for the writing of "Se fue Mi Amor", he was also nominated for Lo Nuestro awards as "Best Norteño Group" and closing with a flourish with the Grammy nomination as "Best Norteño Album" Se Fue Mi Amor.
  • 2010 - February 4. The Grammy Museum honors the successful career of Los Tucanes, placing the Mario Quintero Lara show suit on the display of the great Latin stars, next to Ricky Martin, Celia Cruz, Los Tigres del Norte and Banda el Recodo. Los Tucanes de Tijuana, always at the forefront being the first to start a series of acoustic conferences called "Nuestra Historia".
  • 2010 - Radio Awards, Best Norteño Song of the Year "Se Fue Mi Amor".
  • 2010 - Los Tucanes de Tijuana, nominated for the American Grammy for best Norteño album "Soy Todo Tuyo"
  • 2010 - Nominated to Monitor Latino Awards, "Artist of the Year" and "Best Norteño Album" of the year for their album SOY TODO TUYO.
  • 2010 - Los Tucanes de Tijuana, nominated for Latin Grammys in the Best Norteño Album category "Retrocorridos"
  • 2011 - Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated for Lo Nuestro Awards 2011 in the "Norteño Artist of the Year" category, also participating in the cast that grace this great event, singing their latest hit "Soy Todo Tuyo", this coming February 17th, in Miami, FL.
  • 2011 - September. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated in two categories at the 12th. Latin Grammys awards for Best Norteño Album "El Arbol" and song of the year "El Jefe de la Sierra" which will be held on November 10th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • 2011 - October. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated for the "La Que Buena" Music Awards in two categories, the Corrido of the Year with "El Jefe de la Sierra" and the norteño Group of the Year, which will be held on November 8th. in Los Angeles, California.
  • 2011 - October. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are awarded in the first Mexican Music Billboard, with the "Legacy Award / Legado Musical" award, which recognizes them for a great artistic career, at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles , CA.
  • 2012 - February. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated for Oye! Awards in the category of Soloist or Norteño Group with their corrido production "El Arbol"
  • 2012 - March. Mario Quintero is awarded with his 27th for composing "El Jefe de la Sierra" song from the record album "El Arbol", during the 19th BMI Awards.
  • 2012 - June. Los Tucanes de Tijuana dedicate "Carnaval Carolinas" song at the 15th Las Carolinas Festival, been this the event musical theme song in which they were awarded as the "Most admired norteño musical group"
  • 2012 - October. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated at the Billboard Mexican Music Awards, in the category of Norteño Artist and had a special presentation to close the event.
  • 2012 - October. Los Tucanes de Tijuana opened the first event of Bandamax Awards, where they made a musical fusion with Moderatto Group, interpreting the theme of Me Gusta Vivir De Noche, making norteño music and Rock a spectacular presentation for the public, also nominated for Best Norteño Album this year.
  • 2012 - November. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated for the Latin Grammys, which will be held in Las Vegas Nevada, in the "Best Norteño Album" list.
  • 2012 - November. Los Tucanes de Tijuana won the Latin Grammy in the "Norteño Album of the Year" category with their album "365 Dias", being their first Grammy in their twenty-five year career.
  • 2012 - November. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated at the American Grammy in the category of "Norteno Album of the Year" that was celebrated on Feb. 10, 2013, in Los Angeles, CA.
  • 2013 - March. Los Tucanes de Tijuana are nominated at the Oye! Awards 2013 on the "Soloist or Norteño Group of the Year" list, the following May 16th at the International Center Mazatlan, Sinaloa.
